I just finished reading a very interesting book by Fredrick P. Brooks, Jr called "The Mythical Man-Month" originally published in 1975. This 3rd edition (1995) I read also has 4 new chapters.
I'm sure some of you have read it but for those who are interested in software engineering and haven't read it - I strongly recommend it. The authur is one of those brilliant visionaries who writes very well and has much too say that usually makes a lot of sense.
I'd like to know how many others have read it.
Also does anyone know of any books on Software or hardware that are personal favourites that they can recommend?
I dont mean highly specific textbooks or anything, but more general, opinionated-type books
