Anyone seen good "cool blue" cold cathodes around? Many of the the blue cathodes I've seen look teal or kinda aqua but I am look for a truer blue that's a little more soft.....more of a glow, not so much blinding - (kinda makes it look like a "fridge effect they use in the movies") hehe

A PCI switch is a plus as well...

Any locations that sell these?

I think ccfls are really getting ridiculously bright. I have one blue ccfly, and it's really brighter than what I want. I had two, but they lit up my entire living room like a lamp. Completely ridiculous.
I like the brightness of the UV ccfls much better, but they are a purpler light. A friend of mine, however, has 2 UV cfls in his case with blue tinted plexi or acrylic of some type (came with Enermax case) comprising his window, and it gives a nicely consistent and soft blue glow to his window and, visually, his case.

Yeah that's what I'm going for - the "glow" / soft illumination

Don't want a freaking christmas tree

Perhaps I'll get a UV Cathode (which looks bluish with a bit of purple doesn't it?)
and supplement it with a couple of blue LED fans....

Thoughts??

You'd be better off getting UV fans, the LED fans don't give off a significant amount of light, and UV fans (if visible) would look better.
You can use a rheobus to turn down the CCFl's to a certain extent, but I agree that the UV looks better. I switched my blue ones out for UV a while ago

If you want a soft, even glow, go for some EL (Electro Luminescent) cable. It glows through it's entire length, so you could put a run round the inside of the case, and get a real nice even glow inside the case :)

I have a single blue CCFL in my case, but it's about 4x bigger than any standard case, and i'm going to get a couple more CCFLs, green and blue, and also a couple of UV :)

I've got a blue and red CCFL in my case that operate together. They are quite bright. I also have 4 UV CCFLs in the same case that I can turn on or off two at a time. All four together are not as bright as the red/blue combo. I usually just use the 4 UVs since I like lower intensity glow of the UVs. I've also used some of those UV pens to color the traces one of my cards....looks pretty cool.
