Take case side panel temps drop some, installed stock heatsink ran even hotter with factory applied paste.
Reset the asus silent square with some arctic silver but no luck why is thing so hot i have read some reviews and found that other people are having this temp problem with this board?anybody got this combo out there?

Yep, sounds like a P4 easy bake oven situation to me. Typical. I recommend a Zalman CNPS-9500, with the fan set to medium or higher.

If his case is stock, he has 3 120mm 900rpm fans. One intake, and two exhaust. The case is also very well ventilated due to the perforated side panel. Not to mention it is a huge case. I don't think airflow is the major issue here unless there is wiring directly blocking airflow the CPU HSF. The issue is the P4 Netburst core.

I *think* a lot of ASUS boards have a thermistor mounted under the CPU socket to measure the temp instead of using the diode in the CPU. Who knows where they're measuring the main board temp?!?! This seems crazy to me, but's that's what I've 'heard'!

The motherboard temp on my ECS is read off two pins on the chipset and the CPU from an integrated diode. This is a much better arrangement, e.g. more indicative of what is actually going on.

Anyway, this might serve to explain why "other people are having this temp problem with this board". Might not be a 'problem' at all -- just a matter of where your ASUS is measuring these temps... ;)

Room temp is fine. Ok, so you don't have the perforated side panel, but you still have those 3 120mm fans. I think the direction now is a better HSF--like the Zalman I suggested. Unfortunate that it costs so much, but it does resolve the majority of the heat issues surrounding such a hot core.

I dont think the zalman will resolve the problem as my cooler should be well than up to the task it just seems like the fans pull absolutly no air they spin at 1000 rpms maybe with the perferated side panel the rear fans can draw cool air in but with that slow moving fan in the front it just dont cut it i will try better fans i think

You could try replacing the stock fans with three Scythe S-Flex (Sony fluid dynamic bearing) 1200rpm fans. Still silent, but they move a lot of air. If that does not solve it, then I think you should still consider a different HSF.
