Roommate brought in a bigass salmon last night so now I'll be feasting on fillets. Making some salmon pasta salad and the recipe calls for skim milk. Any chefs know if it's possible to substitute SOY MILK for SKIM MILK?

Also, it says I need lotsa buttah. Is there anything else I can sub for the butter for minimal fat?

Thanks! ^_^

Soy milk should be fine... just make sure it doesn't burn.

As for the butter substitute, you could use Becel margarine but I would recommend butter for this particular dish.

HELL NO!!!

Soy milk and Skim milk does not taste the same at all. So DON'T substitute soy for skim!

I agree with M8Magic on the margarine tho.

Hope I replied in time!
