I bought a huge Costco box of the fuckers and cooking them in the oven is a trying experience. I have tried different temps and putting them straight out of the freezer and even thawed for a bit. My results suck.

They either come out soft from the oven not being hot enough, or they bust open and the cheese all oozes out from too much heat. I don't own a deep fryer. How the hell do people on here cook theirs? I'd like them to get a little crunchy and not pop open. I just cooked 6 and 5 of them ruptured and the cheese was everywhere but inside it *RIP*

I would say very high temps with a short cook time. You'll cook the outside fast to a crisp, before the inside has a chance to fully heat up.

Try sticking them under a broiler for a few minutes.

Best way is a deep fryer...or a saucepan half full with oil heated to boiling...but be prepared to clean half a quart of oil off the stove, counters, wall and floor.

Cooking them in the oven is trial and error. Even after you take'em out, the cheese inside is still boiling. Let them sit for at least two minutes unless you want liquid hot, sticky cheese adhered to the roof of your mouth and you can't get it off as it burns it's way into your sinus cavity.

Microwave?

you dont need an actual deep fryer to deep fry food... a 10" skillet with at least a 2" tall side will get ya the same effect. med hi heat, drop em in for a few minutes.

 Yesindeedee. Works great, but messy as hell. Then again, when you've got a 40-pound bag of mozzerella sticks from Costco and it's 4:00AM, you REALLY don't care about much at all. :D

I don't have enough oil to really fry them properly in my skillet, but I do have some Olive Oil, I guess I'll try a small amount in the skillet and see how they turn out. Gotta be better than the oven. And I tried to Microwave them just got shits & giggles. Horrible as expected :)

NO, NO, NO! Not olive oil! It has a MUCH lower burning point than any vegetable or peanut oil! You'll literally fill the kitchen with smoke and then the pan will burst into flames long before your sticks are cooked. Don't do it.

Use th oven. Olive oil is for flavor, not frying.

It really can't be done properly without frying them in oil.

On a scale of 1 to 10, frying them in oil is a 9 or 10. Everything else is a 4 or lower, just don't bother, you'll waste perfectly good cheese stix.

I fry my Pinninis in Olive Oil and they come out great, I just do it on lower heat.
