Cooking food is still a chore.

SSIA. When will food be as easy to obtain as information?

I want to press a button on a device, and receive hot, delicious food, immediately. Or if I must, I'll wait 5-10 minutes between pressing the button, and receiving the food.

Microwaved food only meets 1 of the criteria. Microwaved food is hot, but it's deliciousness is debatable. :disgust:

That involves driving to a location, waiting for a table, waiting 20 minutes (OVER THE LIMIT, AS DEFINED BY THE CRITERIA) for the food, wondering if the food will be delicious, eating the food, paying the bill/tipping the waiter, and driving back to my residence.

Not convenient at all.

Don't ask me for alternative solutions. I'm the one demanding the food revolution. I don't pretend to be smart enough to usher in the food revolution. Maybe a mod could do it?

No one puts any effort into getting information. You just type some crap in google, and WALLA information.

I want the same concept, but with food. 🙂

OP - why don't you develop this wonderful machine? Or just order online from a restaurant that delivers.

That requires waiting 30-45minutes for delivery. Again, debatable deliciousness. Does not meet the criteria.

On a side note...NO U

I'm not the one crying. Outside of a microwave, what other cooking device can cook food more quickly? Since, you can't stand microwaved food, you're shit out of luck.

Hence why I am asking for a food revolution. Similar to internets, but tastes better.

I think if we discuss this possibility here, a Chinaman will see it on google, and come up with a machine that prepares and heats food for you instantly.

It's convenience factor is waning. The oven has jumped the shark.

I'm always surprised that no one sells pre-cooked plain pasta. it seems like one of those things that'd keep fine in a can, just drain and add your own sauce.

Ugh, have you had Spaghetti-O's or any of those other noxious conconctions? The "pasta" is essentially mush. Disgusting.

You can buy pre-made pasta that only takes 30 seconds in boiling water and it's much better than anything you can get out of a can.

I've never actually seen that.

wouldn't fill my needs, though. I don't really mind the time factor, I just hate having to clean out my giant pasta pot / strainer every time.

Do you need to provide this device with the prepared ingredients?

How long do you expect to have a finished meal?

Ugh, sorry, OP, your post disgusts me.

I love food and think ideally, if possible, food should be enjoyed, not just eaten for sustinance, along with that, food should be appreicated by being cooked/prepared.

Just my (very) strong opinion.

PS, not saying that places like McD's/Burger King/Taco Bell are bad.
