It's time to enter the kitchen. Get those tools out and start cookin' - burn baby burn!

Thought I'd start a thread were people can post the steps they took to ensure they had a nicely even-cooked cpu.

Post your disastrous cookin' stories here o/c'ers, so we know exactly what not to do in the kitchen!

I never, but, my friends recently called me because her comp didnt turn on. She had some POS IBM aptiva that she bought about 3 years ago. ANyway, she keeps in on the floor that has a thick rug, she has 2 cats and 2 kids. I pop open the case and couldnt even see the heat sink! It had the biggest dust clot I ever saw! She fried her k6-233 needless to say because she NEVER cleaned out her PC in the trhee years that she had it. The rug alone warrants a clean-out every couple of months! Needless to say, i sold her an old pentium 233mmx for 40 bucks. I educated her in how to clean the HS and fan. 🙂
