cookies all messed up, help?

several days ago I was playing counter-strike, then I exited like normal and decided to browse a vbulletin board. I then realized I couldn't stay logged into anything and cookies had been somehow turned off. Now I've turned on cookies in IE 6 (my browser), over and over and I can't stay logged into any boards, etc., thus even tho cookies are turned on, nothin's working like it should. any siggestions? this is super annoying.
