Cookie problem w/IE 5.5

Something happened to my IE 5.5 cookies/history (see thread), and now I don't think any websites can save cookies on my machine, e.g., if you go to http://espn.go.com and vote, it won't save it or show results. I checked my IE options, and my "Internet zone" level is at medium and such, and I don't know what else to do. Can anyone help?
