--Thread edited to rentals. There's crap out on theatres now--

What's a good must-see movie that everyone talks about here? I've already saw Requiem for a Dream by ATOT's recommendation and I loved it....

Movies I've seen: (rough list)

Most Disney (even great non-animated ones such as Remember the Titans)
Most Pixar
LOTR series
Terminator series
Xmen series
Braveheart
Alien series
Predator series
Forest Gump
Cast Away
Gladiator
Requiem for a Dream
Pi
Memento
Saving Private Ryan
Most Mel Gibson movies...
Office Space
Shawshank Redemption

updating more..

I'm craving anything that's on the same level as the ones mentioned above. A great heart-warming drama such as Shawshank Redemption or an intelligent action like Bourne series will be great.

edit: Anchorman is great if you like Will Ferrel. Otherwise, you may not be a fan of it.

I sooo want to see The Village, but i never get scared in theatres (just can't get scared when you're with hundreds of other people), so waiting for the DVD.

If you don't mind rentals, see if you can find a movie called Vidocq... it's french, but very well done (and of course subtitle).

Harold and Kumar was pretty funny. It's in the same spirit as Van Wilder, Road Trip, etc. If you like young college humor it's definately worth seeing. I went to white castle afterwards with an indian friend right after the movie :D.

I can't wait for the Village. Gonna see it over the weekdend!

The Village is supposed to be a slam dunk. Of course I've yet to see an M. Night Shyamalan flick I didn't like, so if you found any of them bad take my advice with a grain of salt.

The Manchurian Candidate got some good reviews. Looks interesting. Try that.

My favorite movie is Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. It has great fight scenes, great cinematography, a great story, and a superb ending. You can get it in dubbed or subtitled, and of course I would recommend the latter.

Above someone recommended Memento. There is a similar movie I liked more called Irreversible. Not for the weak stomached. I liked memento until about the last 1/4 where it got a bit ridiculous and predictable. Irreversible is the ultimate love it or hate it movie...
