I've been looking for a juicer so thanks for the link, will order today :). I prefer the $ 100 one due to it being more compact (for me this is important even though my kitchen is good size). After looking at reviews the lower cost one seems to be very powerful at 700 watts. My 2 cents.

Juicing is worthless.

There is 0 difference between juicing and simply eating the veggies/fruit. You actually lose vital properties when you juice.

It's not a magic solution like it's perceived to be.

I'm trying to convince you to not even bother wasting your money.....

Screw both of those and save up for a VitaMix. Green smoothies are delicious.

Unless you like juice :)

Well, I had a fancy juicer and never used it because it was so hard to clean. Some parts were dishwasher safe but enough weren't to be an annoying chore.

I have that 850w model and it does a good job. light years better than my friends hamilton beach big mouth juice extractor and the juiceman. I still cut some fruits to get rid of the seeds because they make the juice a bit bitter.

Juicing isnt worthless as it gets certain people to drink things they normally wouldnt bother eating. If you normally eat things like kale on a regular... more power to you.

I have the $150 breville too. I wish I had gotten an omega or other masticating juicer instead.

Otherwise, my blendtec gets most of my time now.

How the f do you extract juice from kale? And there's no fiber in juice. Gotta have that fiber!

You loose fiber when you juice but you retain the nutrients.

The benefit to juicing is that you can intake large amounts of nutrients without sitting down and eating 5 apples, 10 carrots, 3 bales of kale, etc...... You condense the nutrients into a glass of juice and you can enjoy other meals with it.

I hate eating veggies - refuse to eat anything other than corn that is cooked.

But I've diligently been drinking my juice every morning for the past month or so. This morning was the usual kale, spinach, carrots, beets, (maybe celery and/or cucumber - would need to ask the wife) apples, oranges, lemon.

Not something I crave, but something I can at least tolerate.

Parental fail.

And kale juice does sound disgusting. I have no issue just eating the stuff though.

yeah kale does have juice. Brutal but not as bad as beets.

OP get the best one money can buy assuming cleaning is not a huge hassle. I had an easy clean version of a juicer and it still was a pain. Loved Juicing though. Great before playing sports.

If I could do it all over again I would pull the trigger on a vitamix. They are just more useful in general.

Actually simply eating the veggies/fruit is better because you get the fiber ;)

I have a juicer. It's nice to drink fresh juice once in awhile. Fresh carrot juice with an apple juiced in it is like an energy shot!

I think that's a lot better than what most people get - at least it's something!

Same idea with that Soylent Green meal replacement shake that guy came up - my first thought was, why?? But if you look at how many geeks live off energy drinks, takeout, Cheetos, and soda, it starts to make sense, because it's a step up from that diet...

Yes and it's also extremely expensive and wasteful.....

I have the more expensive one. Worked very well, although it wasn't too easy to clean the cutting bowl.

No idea about the cheaper one.

I just bought that cheaper one, it works fine. We've only done crabapples so far, stem and all. A little bit of uncut apple makes it through past the screen, not sure how, but there is a ton of juice that comes out.
I would imagine with a larger fruit the weight of it would make it grind up better, I dunno.
I'd get the cheaper one for now.
