iPod is too trendy, get a Creative Nomad, I sell quite a few of those and people love them. For $40 less you can get 3 times the storage and just about the same size, and a replaceable battery!

My cousin has a 40gb nomad, man that thing is unrealible, talk about many RMAs he has had to go thru before they sent one that works for more than a week.

iaudio x5 is the best player out right now. plays videos, picture host, uber battery life on the x5L models....

if they just add ID3, perfect gapless, and release the 60 GB model, it will be no-competition bar none kick ass.

iriver, preferably the one w/ video capabilities

iriver has a long history of awesome hardware dirven by firmware written by monkeys. no one I know of has bought an iriver and not had LOTS to complain about.

Just ge thte iPod.

If you're thinking of thumb drives, get the Creative Muvo. FM radio + detachable, etc, very nice looking

If you're thinking of getting a mini... ipod minis suck, you should get slapped... iono just get any brand. I hate minis

If you're getting a 20gb player, get the iPod. Sigh.. all these players are not even mp3 players anymore. When I bought the 4th gen iPod, the B&W ones were the last original mp3 players. You can't beat the size of an iPod. iRivers are thicker and heavier. Nomad Zens are just disgustingly huge as with Dell DJs.....

Get a Zen Micro 5GB player. It's got the small size, FM Tuner, Voice Recorder, Microdrive (more reliable than hard drive based), and great battery life. The only thing I recommend is getting different earphones than the one's they supply.

iTrip is hot garbage, it just never could get the sound right, because of the low frequency, not to mention interferance. Spend another $100 and get a a mp3 deck
