Lol bober the bowels dont have much to do with being moved at will, thats more of an involuntary thing
Seti=bad........aliens- BAH! hehe
the gorl of the rc5 project will be reached definatley!
I'm with yakko, if you're gonna donate computer clock cycles, at least give it to something that will actually benefit others: SETI. (let the flame come rolling in).
Everyone is missing the biggest advantage. Start cracking RC5 and Russ will start being your friend......okay, well at least he won't ride you so hard.
Yeah 'dem hoes in my school always on me because I always be crackin' da RC5 in da house.
Seriously, though, it's mostly just helping out Anandtech (I still don't see how $1000 is going to help a site which is worth millions, but hey, it's the thought that counts I guess), and getting to brag about your computer speed by your RC5 stats. this is NOT a subliminal message, this is NOT a subliminal message, this is NOT....
RC5, a part of team, you can get money out of it, and we will like you more if you do.
SETI, something that will never be finished in our lifetime, RC5 will maybe take the next 4 years or so.
We even have an Off Topic Thread in the Distributed Computing Forum to make you feel at home! For all you speed freaks....Can you outcrack the DPC? Not so far!!! I dare you! ....even DOUBLE DARE!!!
Welcome one and all to Anandtech Distributed Computing...It comes in several flavors and is very affordable....
"We have to put up with you, you may just as well put up with us."
How does the expression go, "put up or shut up"? I guess that means you indeed have to put up, Blake, because it appears that you can't shut up. (Neither can I.)
Don't worry. As long as my cpu doesn't croak, I'm happy to add its modest contribution to that of all your ubercomputers.
