I have a bunch of old VHS tapes of shows I taped off of PBS a long time ago.

I would like to convert them to DVD in order to save spare.

To that end I had purchased a DVR-105 and Dazzle DVD Software.

However I never was able to get the video input on my vid card to work. It was a Gainward TI4600 VIVO.

Now I moved to my Tyan9700Pro I have no video input. I am running winXP Pro.

I was just wondering what is the best standalone card/device for me to accomplish what I am trying to do.

I need some suggestions as I am unexperienced with this sort of thing.

Thanks

I have an ATI AIW 128 and it works well for that, If I was going with an stand alone card I probably look at ATI first, just because I happy with the ATI card I got. I have heard good things about Leadtek cards though, and there have been a few threads about them and newegg had them for like $60, so you might want to check that out.

Here

The easy and fast (realtime) solution. Both DVD and SVCD-spec MPEG2 on-the-fly. Just plug the VCR in.
