I have a bunch of Tom and Jerry cartoons that I recorded off tv, I want to convert them so I can make some dvds but cant seem to find anthing to convert that file format.

Any ideas ?

Might be a similar method to this:

.vcr is a proprietary codec made by ATi.

In the future, record to mpeg2 files instead of .vcr files.

EDIT - if you can do that above to get the .vcr files into virtualdub, I think you can frameserve them into tmpgenc or something to create mpeg2 files. Search google.

Or maybe it can work without virtualdub inbetween, never tried it.
