Converting SVCD to VCD?

I'd like to do this since my friend's DVD player doesn't support SVCD's. I have the Nero plugin that does it, but it took literally HOURS, and the audio wasn't synced with the video. I did burn it to a CD-RW to try it, so maybe that was why it wasn't synced, but it still took hours to convert it. Any other programs that can do it?

It's not that bad, there's presets for all the normal stuff us average users need.

also recommends a p3 500 minimum. i'm runing a 300a@450! I do have 640mb of ram tho...maybe I'll let it run over night.

what is the difference between a SVCH and a regular VCD?

A SVCD is of higher quality than a VCD. But, you need a DVD player that will play them. APEX is supposed to rule in this arena, I have the Apex AD-700. Check the following linky for more info

VCD use mpeg 1, svcd use mpeg 2, just like DVD, though naturally, you can't fit as much info on a CD with the same compression in place.
