Converting SirenMail data/contacts to Exchange

I have been contracted to install Exchange where I work. We are moving from a simple sendmail system where everything is stored locally at each user's computer (in Outlook). That isn't a problem, the only problem I do see is that up till now students (this is a university) have been using SirenMail, not Outlook, as their client, and as a result all of their contacts, mail, etc. is stored in that application. Does anyone know of an easy way to import their data? Or are they basically screwed? If we can't do it it will be ok, but if at all possible they would like to be able to preserve the old data. Thanks!

Bump for any ideas?

I talked to the current e-mail admin. Apparently all the mail data for people using SirenMail is currently stored on the mail server (Linux box). Does anyone know an easy (or any) way of pulling this data down to import into Outlook?
