Converting SFF 8784 to SATA

I have a Lenovo Yoga 2 11 with a 500gb WD UltraSlim in it. It is failing and I was assuming it would be a fairly straightforward swap, but not the case. The current hd uses the SFF 8784 connector rather than the normal SATA.

I could just do an exact replacement, but I want to put in an SSD. What should I do?

I don't think you'll find an adapter to convert the way you are trying to go. However I believe that laptop has an M.2 port which can be used to install an SSD.
