Converting .ram to .mp3???? *ALL SET*

Is the a program to convert ram files to mp3
I can't seem to get Stream box ripper
AND I've read it doesn't work anymore

Any help out there???

Streambox used to work, but Real Audio sued and they settled. Part of that settlement is eliminating the capability to convert Real Audio .ram files to MP3 or WAV.

So now any thing that converts .ram files is technically illegal and you won't find it here at AT. But . . . you are free to search the web for possible solutions.

Need sure what you mean "save the .ra file as it plays to the sound recorder.
Please explain...

You can record data which is currently being played.
Just check record "What U hear" and use any program which can record to wav (Sound recorder, Cool Edit). However, such "converting" will take as long as song plus some time for saving.
Be sure you aren't recording from line-in, mic etc.
