I can pay the damn thing in quicktime and the player that comes with the K-Lite codec pack but that's all I can do with it.

Well I got it to work ..I converted to DVD MPEG2 and now I have 2 files...a WAV file and a M2V file. How do I go about burning that to a DVD ?

I use TMPGEnc DVD Authoring 1.6, you can specify audio and video files to combine...I think it will accept .wav, maybe only .mp2 - then again you could convert with BeSweet..
