Used to have a cheap scanner to scan and email pictures and I could select the save as option to jpeg but my new scanner doesn't have the option in the software with it for jpeg.

I just want to add the capability to convert to jpeg. Any download files or Win98se selections to make this happen. Thanks

hmm, if the file is a bmp, open it in paint & then file/save as & jpeg should be one of the options! :)

you can use *almost* any graphics editing program to convert to jpeg. microsoft photo editor is a good one for a quick and dirty conversion.

Image Editor could do it.

Do you have Adobe PhotoDeluxe with your new scanner by any chance?

Edit: If you do have PhotoDeluxe, you have to Export to JPEG instead of Save As...

Just about any graphics program that can display photos will SAVE AS jpg. files . . .. I use Corel Photo Paint and I'm not even Canadian . . . (But I did live 3 years in Ottawa!) :)
