Well, for starters, I will post my specifics on my computer.

Case: ThermalTake Xaser III Case
PSU: Antec TrueBlue 480W
Motherboard: ABIT AS8 Pentium 4 LGA775 Motherboard
Processor: Pentium 4 2.8 LGA775
Heatsink: ThermalTake Tower 112 PureCu (probably way too big, check it out here for sizes
RAM: 1GB (2 x 512MB) TwinMOS (specs here)
Video Card: BFG 6800GT (AGP)
Sound Card: Sound Blaster Audigy Gamer

I know I should use the search function... blah blah, but I think everyone's situation is different, so :p

At any rate, what all do I need to replace for this conversion? I know the motherboard is a given and so is the heatsink, but what about power supplies? Also, I do not overclock, well I do, but I never leave it overclocked, I always run at stock speeds.

I'd also love some reccomendations on good cases, too :) Thanks guys!

UPDATE:

I've been poking around NewEgg for some good parts, and I'll start listing them below. This is not a final decision, but just things I am looking at seriously right now:

ASPIRE X-QPACK-GN/420 Black/Green Aluminum MicroATX Desktop Computer Case 420W Power Supply - Retail

ABIT SG-80 Socket T (LGA 775) SIS 661FX Micro ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail

ZALMAN CNPS7700-CU 120mm 2 Ball Cooling Fan - Retail

I have my Antec TrueBlue 480, but do I need to change it? If so, what should I look at?

Hey jndietz, I was in a similar situation as you - I ended up with the Chenming 118 mATX case (the Aspire is simply a ricer version of it) and used my old Antec 430W truepower. Depending on your parts you may need a little modding, but the SFF is nice. :)

Edit: For info about my build, check here: Link

And a Shuttle won't allow that?

reuseable parts:
Processor: Pentium 4 2.8 LGA775
RAM: 1GB (2 x 512MB) TwinMOS
Video Card: BFG 6800GT (AGP)
Sound Card: Sound Blaster Audigy Gamer

The motherboard and heatsink changes are certain. So the only 'non-reuseable' parts are the power supply and case.

Cost-wise the Shuttle's probably going to be higher, but compare the two options. Here's a review.

looks like you're doing OK. Welcome to SFF. I can't go back (even though I could stand to go quieter)

I was making a reference to his PSU, but whatever. :p
