I have some mp3 files that will not play on my van's cd player. I have converted them to wave using cdex, but now they are (obviously) huge. Is there another formet I can convert them to and create a cd that will play on a car stereo? I'm a little new at this...

On a side note I used the itunes - pepsi promotion to gather another 30 songs. itunes has a "burn cd feature" that works well, and I created a cd with them that works in the car stereo. Problem is I can't seem to import the other wave or mp3's to itunes and burn them. What other software will do this?

what software did you use to burn the mp3s you had? most likely you just burnt the mp3 files to the cd (and made a data cd).

if given the option in your cd burning software, choose to make an audio cd. if you have Nero version 4 or up, or EZCDCreator version (I'm not sure) or up they will convert the mp3s to wavs on the fly (which means you don't have to do the mp3 -> wav conversion manually anymore.
