Will DivX format work? what converter did you use if you were able to do it?
I found a converter called Taso video Converter.Standard DVD's use .VOB files, which are mpeg2 files, so I would assume that's what you want to convert to.

So now I ask what formats can I change it to to keep the size small and yet play it on a DVD without making it a VOB huge file and taking an hour. The .mpeg file took 15 minutes and twice the size a bit loss of quality and I am not sure if it will play on a dvd player if left as a .mpeg file.
