Converting MP3's to WAVs - what program to use?

I was wondering if anyone knew of a decent piece of freeware/shareware software that I could download that enables MP3's to be converted into WAV files (and visa versa if possible). Any recommendations? Thanks a lot,

sp 🙂

Ok...sorry for being dumb, but where exactly is the option to do this in WinAmp - I'm being blind and missing it totally 😉

Thanks.

Fire up Winamp. Goto Options > Preferences. Then under Plug-ins > Output there should be some Mp3 > WAV one. For some reason it's not showing on for me but it always has before and it should be there. Just make sure to switch it back to waveOUT when finished because I always forget to do that and I'll want to play an mp3 and it will start converting it to wav.

If you own a Plextor burner like most people on this use than just use Plextor Manager 2000. It'll do it on the fly..

Theres a program called CoolDecode that works pretty well... It's freeware available at MP3.com

Also, if you are burning to CD, you can use NERO to go straight from MP3 -> CD
(or EZCD4, but Adaptec sucks IMO)

Good Luck
