Converting mp3 collection to a lower bitrate...

I currently have 21GB of music with various bitrates. I was wondering if there is a program out there that will convert all my mp3's to a specified bitrate.

I was thinking 160kbps is a good enough bitrate to listen to on my computer and to burn cds.

Any ideas or thoughts?

TIA!

Yep - DBPowerAmp converter works perfect for this. You can covert the files by right-clicking in Windows Explorer. You can also convert to Ogg or WMA.

cdex will do it

One thing i noticed -- when converting my own cd's to mp3's is that the bit-rate varies during playback of the mp3's. Works good on my player (winamp), but don't know if that might be a problem with other players....

anyone know if that's a problem with any mp3 players ??
