Converting m4p to mp3

The file I'm trying to convert is a file that was bought off iTunes, which is in an .m4p format. I can play the file through iTunes perfectly fine, but the file shows up in "My Music" Folder as an .m4p file with the windows media player logo next to it. When I try to play it in winamp, nothing happens. I tried burning the song to a CD using iTunes and then adding it to my computer that way, but still nothing. Does anyone have any good programs they use to convert the files? Try to keep it free... or a trial version, it's only one song. Thanks

JHymn, if that doesn't work you should download "Audacity" play the song file in itunes and record it in realtime through audacity and save as mp3.

If bruceb's way doesn't work. The only way I know of doing this is the following: Go into Preferences, Advanced Tab, Importing, select Import using MP3 encoder, Burning tab, select Audio CD (I used a 2 sec gap between songs). You'll have to burn the music as an Audio CD, when it's done, the radition icon will say, "import cd", click on it, and it will import your songs as MP3s. Don't let it overwrite your songs. I hope this works and was helpful for you.
