Converting Gameport to USB on a very old Joystick

So I have this really old joystick I used to use on my old mobo with a gameport.

Well my new mobo doesnt have one, unfortunately.

I have a gameport to usb cable, but I need some type of program that allows generic conversion, or conversion for old gravis joysticks.

Just trying to save a few bucks hehe.

Do you have a sound card ? If you are using on-board sound, you could get a sound card that has a joystick port for $10 or so. Cheaper than a new joystick if you don't use it that often. There might even be a joystick add-on port card that would be cheaper, but I know I have seen very cheap sound cards with a port.
