Converting DVD-audio to standard CD format...

Asked this in software forum a while ago, but no response. Is there a program which will convert DVD audio so I can listen to something I can play in my car?

I suppose you COULD do it, but why would you want to?

You would need to:

Separate the 5 audio streams (+ sub channel) and re-mix/downsample it into a 2 channel 16 bit 44KHz format.

You would lose all the benefits of DVD audio (5.1 + the higher bit/sample rates) PLUS likely introduce problems.

You'd be better off just buying the CD version of the album.
