Converting AVI files to MPEG with Audio

I used the TMP but no audio. I tried to select the movie file where it asked for Audio but it won't read it. Help?

No you cannot. Movie Maker does not include a MPEG encoder in the current version. You have to generate a DV-AVI (which he already has) and use a third party.

OP - how did you create this AVI? What is the goal here, DVD, handheld player, HTPC?
