Converting Automatic Locks to remote Locks

I have a 99 Camry with automatic locks. The kind when you put the key in the drive door and turn right it opens all doors. Of course when you buy this car it can be bought with remote locks. I imagine all it's missing is a little box of some sort that connects into a wiring harness that recieves remote singnals. Anybody have any experience with this.

It should have been available as a kit from Toyota back in 99. I think your best bet is to call the dealer and see if the kit is still available.

If not, the aftermarket will have what you need.

Yeah, you can get power lock actuators. I think they were about $70 in addition to the cost of the Viper alarm I added to my Wrangler.

I don't want to go aftermarket mainly because it's not OEM for the car and I will have to find a place to mount the box that is not where the manufactures ment it to go. The actuators are already there so I can unlock all doors from the driver's side and I believe the door locks are all electronic.
