Converting audio to MP3

I have some casette tapes that I would like to convert to MP3 then burn to CD for playback in my car. The casettes are spoken word audio. I have an A7N266-E running Win2K that I would like to use for this project. I also have WinRip (Intervideo) but that doesn't seem to have a sound recorder. What do I need to do this? Thanks!

(I suppose I could use my main rig (A7N8X-dlx with WinXP) but don't want to tie it up if I don't need to)
