Converting a RCA output to 1/8" input

My dvd player has RCA outs for its audio interface. I have a set of Klipsch 2.1s that I want to use for the audio. It's connector is the standard 1/8" jack.

Is there a way I can use the speakers with an adapter? I see 1/8" to RCA all the time...but never see RCA to 1/8". Do these connectors work in reverse? ..or are they "one-way"?

Other methods that might work?

Get a couple of RCA to mono minijack adapters.

Plug

You can probably find them at any Radio Shack as well.

It's just an audio signal; they work both ways. It's literally just changing the physical plug; most such adapters are completely passive.

Radio Shack carries these adapters. They have the RCA male ends (red and white) and the other end of the cable is a female 1/8" that will work with the "headphone" style plug in you are talking about. They are $5.00 or less.

Cool..checked their site and didnt find them..but that doesnt mean anything.

Going there tonight just for these and see if I can find F-to-F coaxial joiners and maybe a splitter/amplifier cheaper than BestBuy has..
