Can anyone please tell me how this is done? Anyone know of a nice guide with good pic.. and what equipment do I need?

Thanx!

Ps I want to do this because I read that on nforce 2 2.0 boards it will let me attain higher fsb overclocks.

Doh!

Look in the motherboard manual (Bios section). It has lots of pictures.

Are you saying you want to try pushing a 133 MHz fsb CPU to 166 or 200 MHz fsb? There's no special guide, just crank up the FSB from within your BIOS if it supports overclocking. I think all nForce2 boards will support overclocking, but I'm not too sure.

If you're talking about actually modding the CPU so it will be recognized as, let's say 11x166 or 11x200 as opposed to the default 11x133 then I can't help you there. Never modded a CPU in my life. I never felt the need to.

Yes infinitite. that's what I'm taling about.. because apparently default 166 mhz cpu's overclock higher fsb wise on 2.0 pcb nforce 2 boards.

nforce2 ultra 400 chipset boards officialy support 200*2mhz fsb cpus like the xp3200+.
eg. asus a7n8x rev. 2.0

You need a new mobo. Simply rip out the old 1 and put in the new 1 ;)

Hmmm... Well the only time I've seen something like this was when someone was suggesting to cut some bridges on a Barton chip to set it to default of 133MHz FSB because people were having problems getting their 166 chip to get 200MHz.....
