is anyone making a convertible tablet with decent resolution and non integrated graphics.
I know gateway has one with a radion mobility 1400, buts its a 14inch with wxga, toshiba has one wxga+ (1400x900) with and a nvidia 6150, but it seems they are no longer offering custom configurations on that one. I was hoping with vista to see something new released, but I havent seen anything yet. Would be nice if they did a 6-7 pound 14/15 with wsxga or wuxga and something along the lines of a low level 7000 nvidia or radion 1600.

Tablets are designed to be portable and have decent battery life. Good luck finding anything without integrated graphics or a low-end graphics card.

Also, a low-level 7000 series GPU is a 7300 or 7400, which are both worse than the X1600. The low-level 7000 series cards are on par with the MR X1300/X1400.

best i have seen is an x1400 (gateway) or 6150 turbocache (toshiba), so even a 7300 or 7400 would be a step up from gma950 or the 6150, and the gateway is big, heavy and has a lo res screen so if I was going to get something that big (its nearly as big as my inspirion 8600 which it would be replacing) I would want a much better screen.

looks like acer hasn't updated there tablet in a while (though it did have a 6200), I dont see any with core duo, let alone core 2, so if they made a 5th generation tablet, it might be good, otherwise its just cheap.

My current laptop is a pentium m (Dothan) 1.6
1.5gigs ddr
radion 9600 mobility (64 megs)
15wuxga

I want a tablet which is an improvement (processor is easy, graphics seems tricky, screen will be lower resolution but I dont want to go back to xga or wxga, has to be at least wxga+)
