convert vcr tapes to avi

We have a bunch of children's vcr tapes that I would like to convert to video files instead of rebuying the DVD's Is there a set of instructions somewheree to do this failry simply. Im not trying to make it professional quality, just simple methods to do this.

Edit - Looking at your cards specs, you will be able to plug any RCA output from
a VCR or a camcorder into the RCA inputs of your card.

Using video capture software, play the VCR or Camcorder and capture into the
video card to your hard disk.

Too bad it takes so long!

Did you get any capture software with that card, or is it expected that an MCE edition of windows will supply all the software you need? Do you have an MCE edition of Windows?
