Geez, Quicken for Mac 2007 is a pieces of crap.

That being said, I need to convert some .qdfm files to something Quicken for Windows can use. Everything I have read online seems to involve way too many steps to be the real solution.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

I didn't read all of the details but that does look bad. I moved the other direction from Quicken for Windows to iBank on a Mac and it didn't require and chicken sacrifices although it did take some time to get used to iBank.

I am thinking I will just print everything to PDF and put them in a binder and start fresh on the Quicken for Windows.

Intuit has really abandoned the Mac market.

This is one reason I still still have a Windows 7 PC.
Another reason is for firmware updates of 3rd party peripherals.

LMAO how is that better?

Just sacrifice the damn chicken already. :D

Honestly, that procedure doesn't seem terribad. The QIF format is fairly basic, so after the migration you might have some cleanup to perform.

FoxFifth alludes to the real question, which is if you want to be wed to Intuit Quicken for the foreseeable future. For example, if you want to download online transactions from financial institutions, you'll need to "upgrade" every 3 years. I used to download transactions but now I just enter them manually.

The problem is what you have in your database. Some stuff simply isn't transferred over. Moreover, my understanding is that the path is one way only, unless that's changed in the last couple of years. If it's the same as before then, then you can't go from Quicken Mac to Quicken Windows.
