Convert Laptop LCD?

Anyone know if it's possible to convert a LCD monitor to be used for the PC or something? My 2 year old laptop died and think it's a waste to toss the 15.4 screen out.

although it is possible, it's not without a high degree of troubles. you would basically have to take the inverter out along with the panel and some figure out all the wiring and converti it to a signal you can use
