Convert internal IDE Hardrive and CD burner to external USB? Anyone know if possible?

Does anyone know if there is an enclosure or some other form of container which would allow you to mount an internal IDE hard drive and/or cdrw into it for external use? I have seen hot swap hard drive enclosures, but I want something which has internal electronics needed to adapt to USB (or even Serial/Parallel). I have several ATA66 hard drives and an 8x cd burner not being used. Would love an external burner but even a 4x or 6x ext. burner is too expensive for my tastes. TIA!

Those two linked would work fine. Make sure you go USB 2.0 - if you do 1.x, you'll be stuck with 4X burn speed and a dog slow hard drive.

Wicked........thanks guys. Those are exactly what I was looking for!!! USB 2.0 is definitely a bonus, I have two spankin new mobo's that have USB 2.0 and an Adaptec USB 2.0 add on card waiting to be used. The price on these is at the upper end of what I am willing to pay, I will look for awhile and if no luck these will be ordered. 😎

That is just a cool website/store in general!!
