Convert FAT32 to NTFS ??

My friends W2K machine uses a FAT 32 file system. Is the command in W2K to convert FAT 32 to NTFS safe to use?? Can you use it on the C/boot drive?? Thanks. R

Never a problem yet. However, that doesn't mean that you shouldn't back up anything that you might be killed over beforehand.
 
I've done it on a lot of machines and never had any problems.

I do agree with dopefiend's post though; it would be preferable to do it after a backup just in case.
