convert a powerpoint to Mpeg

how do i do this? it has sound

i need it to play on a standard dvd player, will it read mpeg?

If you had a video capture card and svideo out on your vieo card, couldn't you just run a cable output->input and capture it in the background as you gave the presentation? All video capture cards usually have line-ins too, so you could probably do the same with the sound.

I've readlly never seen what you are asking done before. This would probably be the easiest way I think.

Microsoft Producer is a free add-on to Powerpoint 2002 or Powerpoint 2003.

You can now export PowerPoint presentations as video. Export from PowerPoint via Producer and create Windows Media audio (.wma) and video (.wmv), .avi, .mpeg, .wav, and .mp3, as well as a variety of other popular audio and video file formats.
