Convert a local profile to a domain profile?

I have a Win2k8 R2 domain controller and a Windows 7 PC. There's a local profile on the PC that has a lot of user data and settings I'd like to keep, but I'd like to make the Windows 7 PC a domain member use a domain account. I tried it once but couldn't seem to get all the settings into the domain profile. Is there a simple way to accomplish this?

Here is an easier way to migrate a local profile to a domain profile. It doesn't take forever like tools that copy all of the data over. It can also work if you are moving a domain profile to a local profile, or a domain profile to another domain profile:
