convergence versus focus

I've seen these terms used many times in describing the characteristics of CRT monitors. What exactly IS convergence as opposed to focus? Where can I go to get an education about these things? A FAQ somewhere??? Thanks!

Thanks!! Great set of tests you have there !! I'm bookmarking them. My new system isn't internet connected yet but I'm testing my old Nanao F2-17ex, still a great monitor. Will test my new NEC FP2141SB when I get my new box set up on my router (not bought yet).
