Convection on Heatsinks

My NB (or what i'm assuming to be my NB) is very close to my ACFreezer7Pro. The NB is REALLY hot like scalding to the touch. I was wondering if these would affect my temps at all...

but would the NB's heat directly affect my HSF's ability to cool? ther's about a 4 millimeter gap between the lowest fin on the HSF and the top of that NB heatsink.

from my experience, definitely! a/c freezer pro is blowing the air back to the case, which leave no air flow to cool the area around the mosfet and northbridge, get a pci slot blower to exhaust the hot air from the northbridge.

the only problem i see is the temperature you describe from the NB. Your CPU is fine with the cooler you've selected, but i think your NB may begin to hate you if some cooling isn't applied to it especially if you continue to over clock.

You really need to get the temps on the northbridge down, it like any other chip has issues running properly at high temps.
