Hi all,

I recently built a computer with the SBLive Platinum 5.1 and the Microsoft Internet Pro Keyboard (full specs below). The Live Drive has a remote for playing CDs/DVDs and the keyboard has buttons for controlling the same thing (Stop, Play, next track, previous track, volume, mute). I have been able to get CDs playing with the remote but have not been able to play DVDs. Also, the mute and volume control on the keyboard work but the other buttons do not. Anyone have this hardware set up to control the same software? What DVD / CD player software should I use? I'd love to be able to play all my music/movies on my computer and control it either at my desk or across the room.

All info is appreciated,

Mark.

An update: I got Winamp working with the keyboard's multimedia controls. I am using WinDVD and may purchase PowerDVD at some point. I can't get the remote to work with either application and cannot get the keyboard to work with WinDVD. Anyone have similar setups? Any luck getting it working?

Thanks,

Mark.

I don't know about any DVD players, but the only thing I could get to work for winamp was get a program called sound control plus

the creators site is down (here)
the latest beta is 1.80

you can get 1.76 from here

you can set shortcuts for winamp, use 0-9 with no ctrl or shift.
The only problem with this is that it uses it for the keyboard too, so when the program is on, you can't use any of the #'s you assigned to winamp.

(note: don't use keypad numbers, won't work with the remote)

Hope this helps a little.
