Controlling desktop from laptop ... XP RDC ... but with a TWIST

Ok, I've networked my wireless laptop with my wired desktop. I can connect to the desktop using XP Remote Desktop Connection on my laptop BUT:

Say I click on a music file on my desktop -- it plays through my laptop. What I want it it to do is play through my desktop. In essence, I don't just want access to the music files, I want to control my desktop from my laptop which RDC doesn't seem to be giving me...

You follow me? Any help would be appreciated!!

RightHere over at FW helped me out:

"When you bring up the RDC client, click on options, then local resources."
