Controlling Bass with a Hercules Muse XL Sound Card

I got a freebie second box from one of my clients... the on board audio dosen't give me the option of adjusting the Trebel or Bass.

I just need a cheapo soundcard...

Anybody know if the Muse XL gives you the option of adjusting trebel and bass under the Advance button under sound properties?

The treble/bass tone controls are a hardware feature.

I can tell you for sure the MuseXL does not have this feature as I just put together a system for a friend with this soundcard.

I just read in another thread where the Muse sound card uses the same chipset that comes on the Soyo KT333 Dragon Ultra motherboard. Head over to the Soyousa.com site and download the "audiorack" software (49 MB - Yikes!) and you should gain more control over your sound. I'm heading out to purchase the Muse this evening ($29 @ Best Buy and CompUSA) and will give this a try to see how it works. Earlier today, I purchased the Hercules Fortissimo II from BB for $41 (on clearance) - I guess I'm not too sure which is better for my 2.1 setup with occassional use of headphones.
