Controlling a PC over a network

If I have two computers A and B connected through a SMC router/switch. Is it possible to control "A" sitting at "B". I mean using the keyboard/mouse of "B" and having the video out of "A" on "B" all over through the network.

My idea is to use computer A as a web server, put it at a corner cupboard and do occational maintainence/control from my usual PC without having an extra set of monitor and keyboard. Thanks for yours answer.

if you're running win2k or winnt4 you can install terminal services, which replicates your desktop over the 'net (and does a darn good job of it!)...that should do everything you need it to do. if you're running win2k server, it already comes with terminal services and you can set it up as a service to run on boot as opposed to just an application.

or you could use a "trojan" to accomplish this. which DO NOT use netbus, others might be fine, and also, don't think you can play games over the network. it will not work (from what I have heard techtv) i mean like quake 3 or something like that will not work to good.

In ucla, all of my friends have a program called VNC installed on our computers. By installing this software, you can access your own computer from other people's computers. Your screen will basically be on their screen.

It's the nifty-est program i've ever installed on my computer and you can find it easily by doing a quick search for "VNC" on yahoo.

Symantec PCAnywhere.

Seagate Proxy Master/Proxy Host.

Both of these will do exactly what you're asking. I've used both in the course of desktop support and LAN admin.
