Control Panel Secrets

<< All over the Internet, computer help sites like ours offer daily helpings of Windows tips. Sometimes these tips jump right into it and start off by telling you to open the control panel without detailing the steps. So, if I were to say "open your control panel," would you be able to?

Here's how to open the control panel, if you don't know how or in case you need a little refresher:

Left-click the Start menu.
Mouse over Settings and single-click Control Panel

Now that you've opened the Control Panel, keep reading to learn about all its features. >>

Okay do you like this one instead?
I said the other one wasn't for advanced users or did you skip over that?

Those of you that enjoy repairing things yourself instead of paying someone outrageous fees will enjoy this site. It's rather commercial in nature, selling printer repair kits as the basis of the site, but their prices aren't too bad should you find yourself in need of parts and adequate instructions for effecting the repair. Also available on the site is a troubleshooting page that gives some thoughts on common error messages and other symptoms. Best of all, the forums contain many posts that note common issues that I've seen myself, and advice from experienced printer gurus. HP is the common theme, but they also address other printer brands and models, so at least stop by for a look if you're currently battling print issues.

Am I the only one that has my control panel folder right above the Start-Programs box? Its much easier when it pops right out and you could just choose whichever one 🙂
