Control key + D key (Not working with multiple keyboards + fresh Windows 10 install)

I just bought a new keyboard. The Azio MGK1, and I am having this weird issue. Sometimes when gaming, the D key wont strafe right while holding the control key(crouch) IF I hold the control key first. If I start strafing right with the D key and then press the control key, I can crouch and strafe right. The only way to fix this is to restart my computer a few times, but then the problem keeps coming back. There is no extra software to install for this keyboard. Its all built into the board and uses standard windows drivers. Also this happens across all games and applications so its not a key mapping issue in game. I can confirm this with passmark keyboard tester also. Has anyone seen anything like this before? Any suggestions? Thanks.

Edit: Ok. I just bought another keyboard, the Corsair Strafe RGB cherry mx brown, and I am having the same exact issue. What could be the problem?

Update:
Ok guys. After a fresh install of Windows 10 I am STILL having this issue. It is hard to believe that my MB started having this USB 3.0 compatibility issue as soon as I plugged in a new keyboard. The only software I have installed is

Nvidia Drivers
Chrome
EVGA precicion X
Origin and BF4
Uplay and The Division
Skype
Spotify
Samsung Magician
GPUZ
Keyboard Tester
Intel Chipset Drivers

That is it. I really just don't understand what is going on here.

try that thing on the top to see if the key is registering, might be a ghosting issue.

Well its working now because I just restarted my computer, but I think the issue may be the USB 3.0 ports. Apparently some USB 2.0 keyboards and mouse have trouble with USB 3.0 ports, but I don't understand why a keyboard sold today would have an issue like this. The problem is I don't have any USB 2.0 ports on my motherboard to test with! Also this is an NKRO keyboard so it shouldn't have any ghosting issues right?

no, it should not. that's why you paid so much money in the first place.

even if it's a USB3 thing (mine works fine), a good mech kb should not do that. i would return it and get a different one.

besides, ctrl + d is crouch + strafe or sprint + strafe depending on the game; you can't live without that key combination.

Yeah, sounds like a dud keyboard, since it does have n-key rollover.

Ok. I just bought another keyboard. The Corsair Straffe RBG cherry mx brown. And I am having the same exact issue. What could be the problem?

Edit. Also switched back to my original wireless keyboard and the same thing is happening.

If it is doing that across multiple keyboards, then, it sounds like a software conflict.
You have any macro software installed?

ok, we're doing it IT support style;

have you checked the USB connector, both port and plug? have you tried to replicate with a different port?

you say new install, was is a repair you did? or a proper, full install?

i really can't figure out for the life of me what it could be.

you coudl also take your kb to a friend's house and try it on their system (it will probably work fine, but just to check).

What is EVGA Precision X?

You don't have any sort of software to do anything with the keyboard at all?

I feel like there's some software that is reading the key combo as a shortcut or macro and taking it over from ytou.

I've tried this with every single USB port on my computer. Even the front USB. Same issue. I did a full reset on Windows 10, wiping away programs, files and documents.

EVGA Precision X is GPU overclocking software. It is widely used by everyone and I have
been using if for years with no issues.

The only things I have installed is what I mentioned up above. The only keyboard software I have is that keyboard tester to verify that the issue is happening. I don't have the corsair keyboard software installed.

Checked BIOS / UEFI for a setting for "PS/2 port emulation" or "Port 60/64 emulation"? Or "Windows 7 install mode"?

Well, the problem actually was Precision X. After another reinstall, and only a few programs installed including Precision X, the problem showed up again. So I uninstalled it and whala...the problem went away!

I've never had this issue with p x in the past, so I looked at some of the release notes of some of the most recent updates and the second to last update added keyboard hotkey support. Going to revert back to the version I was using before.

Thanks for all of the input guys. I really appreciated it.

Aha!

For some reason it stuck out to me. Glad you sorted it out for now.

D'oh.
So it was another program with macros/hotkeys screwing with things.

Thanks for the update!
